Grundfos BioBooster launches new interactive calculation tool to help potential customers in the dairy and beverage industry discover their potential in wastewater treatment.The 5-step Waste or Win tool gives them an indication of whether a Grundfos BioBooster plant may be a viable solution for their business with respect to economic attractiveness, environmental savings, setup and footprint demand.
“The new web tool is a service to potential customers – as well as all other interested parties – so that they can get a quick overview of their wastewater situation and how they may be able to improve it with the help of a flexible, modular and compact biological wastewater treatment plant from Grundfos BioBooster”, says Product Manager Jakob Søholm, who has been responsible for the development of the new tool.
“Of course, the Waste or Win tool does not substitute a thorough evaluation by our experts, but it does give a pretty good indication of some of the problems we can solve through pre-treatment, full treatment or water reuse.
Many customers wish to either reduce their discharge costs or meet new requirements from the local authorities. This can be achieved in several ways, for instance, by increasing the treatment capacity at the existing plant, treating the wastewater to a lower concentration level before discharge, or reducing the discharge volume through water reuse in the industrial processes.
