Offical opening of BioBooster's MBR plant at Bjerregrav treatment works
Danish Environment Minister Troels Lund Poulsen officially declares the BioBooster MBR treatment plant at Bjerregrav, Viborg Municipality, open at an inauguration ceremony Mondag morning.
Grundfos' Chairman of the Board, Niels Due Jensen and Grundfos' Group President Carsten Bjerg were among the prominent guests attending the opening ceremony.
In his speech, Grundfos BioBooster's Managing Director Bent Gadgaard challenged the way wastewater has been approached thus far by proposing an alternative to centralisation.
A decentralised approach eliminates further investment in piping works and pumping stations when wastewater is treated at the point source of pollution. Apart from treating wastewater locally, the BioBooster plant can delivers high water quality which can then be reused for example for irrigation or service purposes.
