BioBooster wins Danish Product Award 2007 (category Energy and Environment)

Grundfos BioBooster has been awarded the Danish Product Award (category Energy and Environment) for its compact, flexible and efficient wastewater treatment system. BioBooster represents a groundbreaking new way of thinking and performing wastewater treatment, because it treats the wastewater at the source rather than in central wastewater treatment plants. Furthermore, BioBooster enhances the possibilities of using the manurial value and the biogas potential of the generated sludge from the treatment process.

The judgement board reasoned Grundfos BioBooster's victory with the following:

Until now wastewater treatment has mainly been a task for the construction business. Every time it has required building and construction of a large, static plant. Now Grundfos has transferred all necessary technology into an industrial product, and packed the whole process in containers, so the system becomes a component in line with for example an emergency power plant. The product has demanded development of new technology, which combines mechanical and biological treatment - and presumably BioBooster has very good future potential. We therefore award Grundfos BioBooster Danish Product Award 2007 in the category Energy and Environment.
