New decentralised municipal wastewater treatment plants (MWWTPs)
Replacing the need for heavy up-front infrastructure investments in piping and pumping stations, Grundfos BioBooster’s decentralised treatment plant can be placed in remote areas located far away from centralised MWWTPs. Wastewater is treated at the point source of pollution thus contributing to a sustainable environment.

The treatment plant is odourless thereby making it ideally suitable for residential areas. Treatment range is of 500-5000 PE. Based on MBR technology, the treated water quality is bacteria-free ensuring superior water quality suitable for water reuse, with full nitrate and phosphor removal. The MBR serves as an absolute barrier against loss of sludge to the environment and secures a stable process performance.

Capacity expansion of existing MWWTPs
With Grundfos BioBooster’s automated treatment plant municipal wastewater works can expand capacity with great ease due to the modular construction of the system.
